Award Winning Designer Cara Stone runs Tribbles Studio, the hottest venue in TriBeCa

By Jenna Marie Bostock

There’s a hidden treasure in downtown Manhattan, right off the 1 train and centrally located in the trendiest TriBeCa neighborhood. With all the upcoming cocktail parties this season is bringing (and the new trend of corporate events becoming cocktail affairs as opposed to over the top galas), the Alister & Paine crew has found a studio with character, charm, and an in-house award winning designer for your next event.

Tribbles, design studio and event staging venue, is far from high maintenance. Instead of the usual venues that give you a wide open bare space for which you need to hire a caterer, furniture rentals, florist, and the works, Tribbles is an all inclusive location.

Owner, in house designer and 2009 BizBash Style Award Winner Cara Stone offers full event planning and designer services. The space itself contains ornate architectural elements, including delicate hand blown glass light fixtures, 14-ft ceilings, stone columns, and beautiful wall vases for the florals that Cara also takes care of, as Tribbles was once a Home and Gardens Store featured in The New York Times (article continued below).

The level of perfection and professionalism is high here, ensuring each event runs smoothly down to the most finite detail.

The exclusive 1,500 square foot studio is stylish and inviting, while maintaining the flexibility to transform into an intimate cocktail party, upscale wedding reception, or a new product launch. The Studio will plan every detail needed, from the lighting and linens to the chandeliers and cake.

One of the unique aspects of the space is that it already contains décor if you did decide to bring in your own team, eliminating unnecessary work. But really, why bring in your own guys when you have Cara Stone in house? She’s easy on the eyes too…

Tribbles is the new IT place to be when the champagne is flowing and hors d’oeuvres are being passed. Instead of renting out that stark white gallery that seems so bleak and massive for a celebration, find Cara and her crew at Tribbles Studio for a fantastic experience and event you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere. Just don’t drink too much gin and tonic at the next office party. The colleague camaraderie only stands true while the bartender is on duty.
