Monterey Dinner Cruise

Sunset Dinner Cruise

It’s time to relax, unwind, and hit open water. There is nothing quite like the slow sway of a sail, the ripple of rolling waves at your fingertips and an intimate dinner on board to refresh and remind you how good life really can be.

Captain Dutch is the affable host of the Monterey Bay Sailing dinner cruise, the most romantic and exclusive way to see the bay. Monterey Bay hosts everything from sailing schools to three day overnight adventures, but the dinner cruise from Fisherman’s Wharf is really the best of both worlds—a chance to see the bay and wine and dine in style. Nothing impresses a date quite like a private sail boat, a four course menu, and plenty of vino.

This dinner cruise is not a big tourist cruise ship filled with 50+ diners and a chance to watch the ocean from an enclosed little room…this is a really fun, laid back, hands on evening enjoying the sun and sea. Good company, good food, and a fantastic sunset.

You’re almost guaranteed to spot a fair share of sea otters and sea lions, and depending on when you head out you could come across anything from humpback whales to dolphins. Capt Dutch graciously offers anyone interested a chance to take the helm and discover the grace and beauty of a boat under sail…don’t worry, he’ll take the wheel back when it’s time to tack.

The menu is a prix fixe four course meal, accompanied with local merlot or chardonnay. You start off with brie, pear, grapes & stone ground crackers; followed with spinach salad with cranberries, blue cheese and caramelized pecans with champagne vinaigrette dressing alongside a succulent Monterey Bay Polynesian salmon fillet (grilled on board!) and fresh chocolate crème brulée to finish while you watch the final rays disappear. Perfection. MSRP $399
