2011/2012 Internships Now Available: Earn college credit while gaining real-world experience.
Editorial Internship, New York
The Alister & Paine Editorial Internship Program is structured after a college course and the actual work schedule of a typical Editorial Assistant.
Like any other course you are expected to attend “classes” aka staff meetings up to twice weekly. Also, like other courses you will be expected to complete assignments on your own and submit your work against a deadline.
The Editorial Intern will be charged with assisting in the publication calendar, sourcing information for new articles and reports, data research/entry, scheduling interviews with various business figureheads and participating in conduction of interviews.
The Editorial Intern will report directly to the Editor.
Work Hours: This internship offers remarkable flexibility for the right person. Regular attendance at weekly staff meetings is expected but all assignments can be done out of office and may require up to 10 hours independent work with assistance from our editorial staff as needed.
Upon successful completion of the Internship Program the Journalism Intern will earn college credit and can expect assistance rewriting their resume. For exceptional interns, a letter of recommendation and possible promotion may be available.
