Open Letter to Conde Nast Employees

To the 180 recently laid off Conde Nast employees:

To begin with,  I am sorry to hear of your loss.

Secondly, welcome to the digital age.

Earlier this year Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC) released a report entitled ‘Internet Advertising Revenue Report’. In this report PWC shows us that Internet Advertising Revenues exceeded $23.4 billion in 2008.  Ten years prior, in 1997, this industry only generated $907k.

That’s roughly 2,579,933% growth over ten years.

Those who’ve been with Alister & Paine, INC. from the beginning can testify to the tremendous growth we’ve seen over the past few quarters.  Strategic partnerships and advertisers have grown exponentially… and we don’t charge subscribers a dime.  Our plan is strategic for long term organic growth.  Our leadership team is made up of industry experts.  Our reach is still in its infancy–yet we’ve already developed partnerships with some of the worlds leading brands.

Now, many of you will be coming from bridal magazines, not exactly our niche, but I expect your talents may be transferable to our products and services.  If you’re interested in stepping into the next era of publishing then please don’t hesitate to contact us through our website,

Otherwise, I look forward to seeing 180 new wedding blogs in the coming weeks.

Very kindly yours,

Brian D. Aitken

CEO, Executive Creative Director
