St Regis Aspen

Aspen’s Luxury Hotel & Spa | St. Regis Resort

[review]It’s not time to retire those skis and board just yet…sitting right on the southern edge in the small exclusive ski town of Aspen Colorado is the incredibly luxurious St. Regis hotel. And it’s everything you ever dreamed true luxury could be.

The St. Regis Aspen Resort is the contemporary version of a Gilded Age mountainside manor which provides an uncompromising base for arbiters of fine food and wine, connoisseurs of culture and adventure seekers. This is classic luxury at its finest—lush décor with modern twists and impeccable attention to detail make the hotel worth a visit even if it’s not powder season.

The hotel is ideally located at the base of Colorado’s legendary, breathtaking Aspen mountain with stunning views of the majestic Rockies. Walk to the Gonzo Gallery in town, ski, snowshoe, winter fly fish, golf, fish, hike, bike….the activities, or ‘passions’ as they call them here are literally limitless. This hotel has been a staple in Aspen for decades but in 2011-2012 they stepped it up a notch and announced a new era of style and elegance with a $40 million renovation. The bar has been set and the new standard of luxury in Aspen is hard to challenge. Intricate light fixtures, ornamental steel and glass elements come together for a modern but warm elegance. You’ll get lost just playing Eloise and exploring all of the interior design elements.

They have a motto here at Remède: World-class technicians, revolutionary treatments and an approach to corporate culture that focuses on positivity and happiness before all else.

Eventually you’ll find your way to the 15,000 square-foot Remède Spa, one of the most decadent spa experiences imaginable. High-tech treatments meet the epitome of timeless luxury in an exquisite spa setting. 15 treatment rooms, one couples room, sauna, warm and cold plunge pools and the unique Confluence Waterfall Lounge are so relaxing it’ll be hard to get back on the slopes the next day. The waterfall lounge is also co-ed, so you get to actually enjoy the area together after a couples massage, rather than be banished to your separate gender specific areas.

For the foodies visiting Aspen Remède also has a Farm-to-Table Massage…No, it’s not foie gras and truffled mac and cheese bites in the sauna but it does use locally sourced and natural ingredients to fully seduce all the senses in a multi-dimensional five course spa treatment. FTMT allows you to taste what you’ve smelled, sensed and seen; to treat one’s body as a palate and to be scrubbed, massaged and fed. Whatever treatment you get, you end up swimming under a waterfall with a bottomless glass of champagne either way.

At the St. Regis you never feel homesick or road-weary—their dedicated personalized service and inviting staff really make you feel like you’re home. That is, if you’re home is a mountain side $40 million dollar mansion.

Visit the little town that Hunter S. Thompson tried to rename Fat City so it wouldn’t get too mainstream and see for yourself. Timeless luxury and true customer service at it’s finest.
