PRESS St Helena

Farm to Table Dining | Napa Valley

This modern farmhouse style restaurant blends with neighboring vineyards to create a truly unique steakhouse. PRESS is a true “farm to table” experience with rotisserie and grilled meats, fresh sustainable seafood, the finest locally grown organic vegetables and produce that is the very best of the Valley’s bounty. A salad of butter lettuce and fresh herbs never tasted so good.

Every day their chef selects the best seasonal produce, and what can’t be culled from PRESS’s three private gardens is sourced from local farmers, markets, and neighboring purveyors. Their real showcase here is their USDA prime beef, naturally grass fed and finished on high quality corn grains for superior marbling…and superior taste. Every steak and roast is grilled to perfection on a custom-built wood-fired grill and rotisserie.

In-house sommeliers Kelli White and Scott Brenner are a dynamic husband and wife team, providing their worldly wine knowledge and table service at PRESS from high profile positions in New York City in order to be closer to the pulse of winemaking activity.

PRESS tells the whole story of Napa Valley. It’s a celebration of the heritage and history of the wines of the Valley.

PRESS’s wine list is comprised exclusively of more than 800 local terroir-based wines, from the pioneering ‘founding fathers’ to the stars of the new millennium to the farmer around the corner. A hand-crafted walnut bar shows off the extensive Napa Valley-only collection, one of the Appellation’s best-kept Cabernet secrets.

Before you start on the wine pairings (which you should—Kelli and Scott are fantastic), one of PRESS’s classic cocktails is a must. True mixologists at work here, the Vineyard Mule (Charbay Vodka, Fresh Lime Juice, Cock and Bull Ginger Beer) or the Whisky Smash (Jim Beam Kentucky Bourbon, Fresh Meyer Lemon, Cane Syrup & Mint) is the most refreshing way to start a perfect night of fantastic food and award winning wine.

A la carte they have family style side dishes, everything from truffle mac & cheese to creamed spinach with shallots to crispy onion rings. Homemade pistachio ice cream is the perfect accessory to the decadent Scarffen Berger chocolate soufflé for two, which is almost (but not quite) un-finishable if you polished off the Cowboy steak with truffle butter earlier.

Natural ingredients, fresh country air, perfectly cooked cuisine and outstanding wine pairings. It’s an unparalleled Napa Valley dining experience.
