[HOTEL REVIEW] The Roger NYC

“There is a time of year in New York when, even before the first leaf falls, you can feel the seasons click. The air is crisp, the summer is gone. And for the first night in a long time, you need a blanket on your bed. It brings up other needs as well.” – Carrie Bradshaw

There’s nothing quite like New York in the fall, and there’s nothing quite like finding the perfect place to rest your head after a long day wandering the streets of Manhattan and taking in the city views and crisp air. We love coming across a new hotel that works incredibly hard at being perfect, doesn’t forget the details and manages to give a luxury experience while emulating a boutique vibe. Not an easy feat.

The Roger is a fairly new hotel boasting a landmark location on Madison Avenue that dares to be different. Combining personalized service with luxury accommodations, it’s an ideal spot for weary travelers and busy execs alike looking for a little R&R in the iconic Flatiron District.

Last summer The Roger unveiled a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of The Parlour is classic modern chic—a traditional vibe with some modern updates for a gorgeous and inviting space. Perfect for a bottle of champagne after a hard night’s out in the city that never sleeps.

Make sure you ask for the Penthouse upgrade—the view of the Empire State Building from the roof is absolutely breathtaking. It looks even better with a glass of bubbly in your hand.

Everything at The Roger is inviting and luxurious…not overly sophisticated or pretentious and still a far cry from casual, they manage to make you feel right at home and like you’re the king of the palace at the same time.

The Roger is one of NYC’s best kept secrets…but we doubt it’ll stay that way for long.
